About My Shop
It is the sole mission of Inked Woodworking to create high quality, unique woodworking products that touch families and manifest memories for generations to come
My name is Paul Hlabse Jr., and I founded, own, and handle all of the woodworking here at Inked Woodworking. I have a unique background, but my true passion has been to create high quality woodworking that is affordable to the customer, and products that they will be able to have for their lifetime and beyond. The quality alone here at Inked Woodworking is second to none, and the precision in which we finish each piece is a testament to our mission.
It all started for me as a hobby over 20 years ago. My father taught me the basics that I still use today! I can still hear him say, “Measure twice, cut once!” He taught me shop safety, organization, and little tricks that I often find myself showing others. Over the last 20 years, I went to college, obtained multiple Master’s Degrees, spent 10 years in manufacturing as a precision machinist, 5 years in supervision, but something always felt missing. I began to tinker around with some things in the garage after work and on the weekends. One thing led to another, and I found myself tinkering ALL of my free time! But I didn’t mind. It was so much fun, and I began to share my projects on Facebook and Instagram. People were liking and commenting like crazy! They kept telling me that this was my true calling, but I always shrugged them off thinking that I had to go to work for someone else. I couldn’t have been more wrong!
I opened an ETSY shop in 2015 to just sort of see what would happen. At the time, I was a Manufacturing Manager, but I thought if I tested the waters in my free time, we could see if Inked Woodworking would be something that we could run with. It was a nice time filler at first, but then it started to gain momentum. Inked started with a few products, and then we added as customers had requests. I found that I had weeks of backlog, and that I was spending every available minute filling orders. It was great! But then in 2017, things began to change!
Inked Woodworking started to take off! We had our own designed Whimsical Leaning Bookcases purchased for schools in Texas as well as items to be auctioned off at the San Diego Zoo Gala in which Dr. Seuss’ wife herself was there to see them! How exciting! A small town guy in his spare time was creating pieces of woodworking that was being shipped all over the country and featured in fancy Galas for charity. It was in this moment, that I knew that Inked Woodworking could make it.
Soon after, I quit my career in which I spent 9 years of college for. I loved working with my team, but my passion wasn’t in scheduling, producing, and shipping someone else’s products. I wanted to ship my own products! All of my time was in creating new products, pushing my current ones, and becoming competitive in the industry. I was, and Inked continued to gain notoriety. DIY Network’s The Treehouse Guys had 2 of my leaning Bookcases in their Ann Arbor episode of the Paul Newman House for kids. Inked had finally made it!
Now is an exciting time for Inked Woodworking, and it is thanks to all of you reading this! None of this is possible without your support and help in developing your visions. Inked Woodworking has dedicated space for the shop, my father has been brought back into the fold to help with orders (full circle), we’ve launched this new website, and we continue to create new products for large companies based on their requests. There isn’t anything that we can’t build, and we are definitely up to the challenge!
The key difference between Inked Woodworking and other woodworking companies, is that YOU will be involved in the entire experience. You’ll be emailed, talked to, and consulted along the project so that you receive exactly what it is that you had pictured in your mind. In fact, it will almost feel as if you built it! Also, the clean finish of the projects is something that is a staple at Inked Woodworking. We’ve always disliked the screws and nails showing, so our mantra is to take the time to engineer our designs to ensure that those annoying fasteners are never seen! It takes much longer, but it is just one example of how much quality means to us.
I thank you for taking the time to read about Inked Woodworking, and I cannot wait to build something incredible for you! Please browse the products, but if you want something unique, use the contact us form to start your very own piece of woodworking! I guarantee that you will have something made with care, love, and attention to detail that you won’t find anywhere else. Give us a chance, and let’s make memories together!
Meet the Maker
Greetings! I appreciate you taking the time to visit my store. I take great pride in creating gorgeous woodworking furniture and custom pieces that will stand the test of time. Each piece is handcrafted by me, Paul, and I put my own unique touch on everything I work on. Please, browse my selection of woodworking items, and let me know if you have any questions, comments, or requests for custom pieces of furniture. I create many items that are not on BAROQOO, so if you can think it, I can build it! Feel free to test my ability ;)
As a general note, most items can be made to ship in a few weeks, but sometimes they can take up to a month. Most woodworking places ask for a minimum of 6 weeks, so I always try my hardest to ensure prompt creation and delivery of items purchased. Woodworking is my true passion, and my prices reflect that passion. I'm here to create beautiful works that can be enjoyed by you, your family, your friends, or those you want to give a wonderful gift to. I will not be the most expensive, but I will not be the cheapest. I am confident in my abilities, and I want to deliver something fantastic for you. Unfortunately, this comes as a cost! But I will always work with anyone with their budget to accommodate their needs as it pertains to my woodworking creations.
Feel free to reach out with your questions, comments, or custom woodworking ideas!
Thanks for stopping by - Paul

Inked Woodworking will deliver large items for the cost of gas + $50 within a 3-hour driving window. Please contact Paul to see if he will work with you on delivering outside of the 3-hour window. Often times, this will not save the buyer all that much money.
Shipping discounts will be offered on all large items which is offset in the price of the items. Since the furniture are large items, shipping supplies and discounts in the range of $30 - $50 on all items is usual. BUT, it is still the responsibility of the buyer to contact INKED WOODWORKING for a quote so Paul can offset the quote back to the buyer and update the listing. Inked Woodworking understands the cost to ship large items, wants to offset the price to ship the furniture, but requires solid communication from the buyer with the process. Paul is here to work WITH you to ensure the cheapest,
Return & Exchanges
All sales are final. Any refunds requested by the buyer after the order has been placed, and the buyer has paid for the item, will be subject to a $25 or 25% of the total cost of the item (whichever is higher) to pay for supplies purchased to ship a stocked item. It is the buyer's responsibility to read the entire listing for shipping information prior to purchasing the item before realizing that shipping IS NOT FREE. Shipping will either be added, or a custom listing will be created to pay for the shipping. Once an item is shipped, please see below.
If there are issues with the goods received for any reason, please contact me and we will address them on a case-by-case basis. I strive to ensure all item descriptions are 100% accurate to the best of my ability, and the finished project WILL match the description. If for any reason you dissatisfied, I will do everything in my power to make amends.
DAMAGED SHIPMENTS: Once an item leaves Inked Woodworking, it is no longer the responsibility of Inked Woodworking. Damaged shipments falls on FedEx, USPS, and any other carrier the shipper/buyer agree upon. Insurance is available on shipments, and will be purchased by Inked Woodworking on larger shipments. Inked Woodworking will do everything to make amends for damaged goods, but refunds are strictly correlated with any refund given from the carrier within their claim period of 5-10 business days.
DAMAGED SHIPMENTS: In the unfortunate event that your shipment is damaged, please follow these steps to receive a refund.
1) Inked Woodworking must be notified of damage within 48 hrs of receiving the purchased item. Any delay in reporting the damage to Inked Woodworking makes any refund/claim void.
2) Take pictures of the condition of the box PRIOR to opening it if it looks banged around or damaged.
3) Take pictures of the internal wrapping PRIOR to opening to reveal your purchased good.
4) Take pictures of the damaged part of the shipment PRIOR to attempting to repair it yourself.
All of the above are necessary for me to file a claim with FedEx. I insure all shipments, but cannot file a claim unless ALL of the above have been done and emailed to me.
Let's hope this does not happen, but I want to make sure that all parties have a pleasant transaction!
NOTE: The amount of packaging that Inked Woodworking uses to ensure safe travel is well above and beyond standards. When an item is damaged, it is because of disregard from the carrier. Unless the item is fully damaged, FedEx and USPS WILL NOT offer any kind of refund. In these cases, Inked Woodworking will work with you to repair the damage and get the wood product back to new. Inked Woodworking is not at fault for a damaged shipment, and the fault should not fall upon the shop. That being said, contact Paul and he will go above and beyond to make sure things are set right.
